Sandra Hutterli is passionate about successfully leading digital transformation through human potential. Together with her team of 250 full-time employees (FTE) and 1,500 part-time trainers, she oversees the currently and future required competencies in 150 different jobs in passenger and freight transportation, infrastructure, and real estate at Swiss Railways. Responsible for the competence management and training of 33,000 professionals, she contributes to the successful implementation of the business strategy, profitability, and sustainability. In recent years, together with her team, she has established and implemented innovative methods to anticipate future required competencies and to boost individual and organizational learning.
She gained long-standing leadership and education experience as director of coordination for the Swiss School System, Swiss representative for education at the Council of Europe and European Union, and as lecturer at different Universities. She holds a PhD in learning and competence development, change management, and organizational learning and Master's degrees in business administration from NYU, LSE, and HEC as well as one in the arts from the University of Zurich and in applied sciences from Pädagogische Hochschule St.Gallen.
