Julian Boxenbaum is an award-winning, patent-holding, experience designer and innovation strategist with a history of developing successful products, strategies, and user experiences. He currently holds the position of Regional Director (North America) for X Eight Ventures, the incubator wing of Eight Inc. (the agency that helped design and launch Apple's retail stores and strategy). A true innovator, he develops products, services, and strategies that form the foundations of exciting new companies, steering them from promising concept to proven reality.
Julian previously founded and ran his design and strategy consultancy, BUZstudios, and LucidNYC, a live innovation salon examining visionary ideas in action. He also led the development of Carnegie Mellon’s Integrated Innovation Institute program in New York.
Before joining Eight Inc., he worked as a designer in Italy for several years before launching his practice in New York. Julian has also taught design thinking and integrated innovation at prestigious institutions such as NYU and Carnegie Mellon University. Hit the road with Cirque du Soleil? Run a Scottish jazz bar?
